Columbia City, Ind.— Here we go again! The 2021 Trans Am’s TA2 is back and stronger than ever. This season it’s out with the old and in with the new with the Pro-Am championship making its debut this weekend on the Charlotte Roval. After winning the Northern and Southern Cups in 2020, Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) is taking that momentum to Pro-Am with the clear aim to win the inaugural title.

Stevens-Miller Racing Owner Joe Stevens said, “We have the 2020 Northern Cup Champion Alex Wright back and he’ll be in the car Mike Skeen won the National title last season. We want to build on our Northern and Southern Cup titles from last year and win the inaugural season of Pro Am.

“We’re pumped to have and Berryman Products returning for the third season,” Stevens added. “Alex took Berryman’s Chemtooler on a ride that concluded with the Northern Cup Championship and now that the Chemtooler has a taste for winning, he — like all of us — wants more!”

Wright said, “I am really looking forward to starting our Pro-Am campaign on the Charlotte Roval. And it’s especially great to be back in the Berryman car. I’m biased, but I feel like it’s the best livery in the paddock, and it’s good luck to have the Chemtooler on my side. It’s important to start the Pro-Am with a good result. We had a great season last year and we look forward to getting the Chemtooler and the people at Berryman Products the results they deserve!”

The all-new look of the SMR Mustang would not be possible without the Berryman Products high-performance “Paint Safe” specialty Brake Cleaner. “This stuff is great,” Stevens said. “It’s the only thing we use to prep the car before applying the vinyl graphics from CG Detroit.”

This specialty, non-chlorinated brake cleaner is just another of the wonderful cleaners, solvents, and additives you’ll find on the Berryman Products website. Berryman has been around for more than 100 years and their products are available at your favorite auto parts store as well as major retailers.

“Berryman’s specialty brake cleaner removes residual wax, oil, and grease without damaging the clearcoat or paint, it’s also great for cleaning plastic and rubber and won’t discolor like so many others,” Stevens said. “Another reason we love Berryman brake clean is it always dries fast and leaves zero residues.”

Like every TA2 race, it will be a real challenge for SMR to come home with a win. This is the first time the series and the team have visited the Charlotte Roval, so it will be all new. “Charlotte will be a learning curve for our drivers and our engineers,” Stevens said. “All four categories will be on track together so it will make this weekend’s event both interesting and challenging!

“Charlotte and Road Atlanta are open for spectators so come out and see us. If you can’t be there in person the multitude of in-car cameras in the live-stream have taken our coverage to new heights. Get the Trans Am App to watch the races live or check out the replays on YouTube. In-person, on the app, or online — any way you go with Trans Am you’re in for some great racing!”
