Columbia City, IN – 2022 is set to be a massive year for Stevens-Miller Racing with so much in its grasp. For nearly every award offered by Trans Am, Stevens-Miller Racing will have a driver (or drivers) racing for it. From the National Championship pursuit, Rookie of the Year, and Trans Am’s new “Young Gun Award”, SMR will be pushing hard for every bit of potential success.

Returning to the team will be its longtime partner Berryman Products, which this year will campaign a primary signage on a car for all twelve national races. For the first time, this car will be a Dodge Challenger sporting the Green Monster known as the Chemtooler and new body panels from Fivestar Racing. Driving the 01 Barkaucars.com / NAPA MPEC / Berryman Products Dodge Challenger will be none-other than the Trans Am 2021 Rookie of the Year, Rhett Barkau of Illinois.

Following the 2022 pre-season testing at Sebring International Raceway, Rhett commented “We are thrilled to continue to be part of the Rhett Barkau Racing along with Stevens-Miller Racing. Following the last few days testing my new Challenger which was built by SMR and running 1 race with them last year we knew it was a good move. The tie in with our business, NAPA MPEC, and Berryman Products will surely makes this more interesting as time continues.”

Berryman Products Marketing Manager, Beau Blankenship, stated this following his comment for another year alongside SMR. “Berryman is thrilled to continue our partnership with the Stevens Miller Racing Team. Over the years this partnership has become one of the most important in our company. The professionalism, the attention to detail, and the desire to win is what makes it so easy for Berryman to come back to SMR. We are so proud of all that the team has accomplished, and we cannot wait to see the new livery on a brand-new Dodge Challenger sporting our Chemtooler on the track in 2022.”

Stevens-Miller Racing will field up to five cars this year and four for the complete season. This will no doubt be a challenge for Joe Stevens, SMR President, and his team of TA2 experts. “I couldn’t be more blessed to have this opportunity and the challenge that is ahead. Luckily, I love my job and the work I call racing. Having Rhett and Berryman together is the perfect match, and this team looks forward to getting them on the podium.”
